Last of Us

Like many couples these days Brian and I like to play video games together. Unfortunately there aren’t many co-op games out at the moment so instead we play a game together by switching off playing a single player game. Or somethings if I’m painting, he’ll play and I’ll watch. I watched Brian play some of the first last of us game but I didn’t get truly interested until it was half way thru. Then when the second game came out I switched off playing it with him and enjoyed the writing and the emphasis on the story and the character development. There were also some truly suspenseful creepy moments in both games that I really appreciated.

When the TV series started we were excited and though I did enjoy episode 1, the second episode is when I really got into it because we got to see the clickers. I used to do Special FX makeup and we watch a lot of horror so I always keep an eye out for great makeup and this show has it! I went to sleep that night and had a very odd dream where people who looked like the clickers just led normal lives and talked to each other like normal, etc. It was very bizarre but it inspired this creation which I love. I suspect there will be more Last of us related paintings. I will add them to this blog as they are created.
